Annabelle Coppin is Managing Director of Outback Beef and owner of Yarrie Station. Growing up on the family property in remote Pilbara, Annabelle is passionate about producing quality Australian beef, improving animal welfare and promoting conservation. Annabelle is fifth-generation on Yarrie and purchased the Station from her parents, Lang and Ann Coppin in 2015.
Annabelle received the 2008 Nuffield Australia Farming Scholarship and studied global agriculture in multiple countries around the world. She spent a further two years working with Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA), predominately in the Middle East, improving export trade relations and working in animal welfare best practices.
Annabelle lives on Yarrie Station with her husband Thomas and recently welcomed their first child, Tanami Ann. Yarrie now operates under Annabelle’s passion for producing ‘Outback Beef’, and her strong commitment to advancing the Australian Beef Industry and improving the health and wellbeing of animals and the natural country that supports them.
Yarrie Station is a 250,000 hectare rangeland property situated north of Marble Bar in Western Australia. Yarrie Station has been in the Coppin family for over 100 years and runs 2500 head of breeders. Yarrie provides around 2 million meals of quality beef to the both live export market and boxed beef markets. Yarrie’s highly skilled, dedicated and passionate team is one of its greatest strengths. Annabelle promotes Yarrie’s core values of ‘respect and accountability’ by supporting a team environment, creating opportunities and encouraging staff to pursue a career within the beef industry.
